Laura

More often than not I advocate change and being the catalyst for something new is where I feel the most comfortable at. I am a solo act but very often I get together with great people. They may have diverse skills but they share the same mindset: get stuff done, aim for amazingness and enjoy the process.

In the past nine years I have planned and produced many design events, product launches, exhibition openings, PR, communications and social media campaigns, press trips and publications.

I started in 2006 when I went to work for Martyn Evans at ORIGIN Communications in London. After nine years abroad I moved back to Helsinki in 2009. I continued working in PR at Marsaana Communications, where my clients were mainly large international lifestyle, fashion and luxury brands.

In 2011 I set up my own company and here I am.

If you want to have a chat or talk about a possible project together, you can call me at +358 445 722 562 or email laura@lauraiisalo.com. It would be fun to hear from you. And if you want to connect, you can find me here too.

Documenting the world around me is no doubt my favorite pastime. My stories have been featured in several lifestyle titles, websites and in this book about Finnish design published by Gestalten last year. I regularly contribute to the Blue Wings magazine and often shoot the pieces myself. I have written and edited the Finnair Plus Guide three times now—maybe you’ve seen it. I also edit a website called Creating Helsinki, which I created to tell the stories of the everyday makers and doers in my city. Click here to have a look.
